Discovering Piero della Francesca in Arezzo

Departure from Arezzo. The itinerary starts from the cathedral of Arezzo, where you can admire the fresco of Piero’s Magdalene, the spectacular stained glass windows by Guillaume del Marcillat and the famous glazed ceramics by Andrea della Robbia. Lunch free and then visit the church of San Francesco, with the fresco of the Legend of the True Cross.

Overnight in a charming 4* hotel in the historic center of Arezzo.

In the morning departure for Monterchi, to visit the Madonna del Parto. Free lunch and visit to Anghiari, considered as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.

The day ends in Sansepolcro, the birthplace of Piero della Francesca, with a visit to the house-museum where some of his masterpieces are preserved, such as the Misericordia, La Resurrezione di Gesù Cristo, San Giuliano and San Ludovico.

Free dinner and return to Arezzo for overnight.
