Rye Tour in Gran Paradiso: E-bike in Val di Rhêmes, Rye Tour, Genepy Experience

Our journey will begin on our e-bikes with a guided tour to discover the Val di Rhêmes, cycling through forests, villages, and scenic viewpoints of the surrounding peaks. After a relaxing picnic, we will continue our ride towards Introd, a strategically located place for exploring the entire area. Once we set our bikes aside, we will proceed with a visit to the Maison Bruil food museum, where a leap into the past will reveal how farmers used to live. Here, we will be welcomed by guides dressed in traditional 19th-century attire, who will show us how food preservation techniques have evolved over the centuries.

At the end of the visit, typical products can be purchased from Tascapan, a dedicated shop within the museum. The day will be enriched with dinner at the Lo Triolet winery, featuring a guided tasting of wines and typical dishes, in a charming setting converted from an ancient stable.

The second day will be dedicated to discovering rye, starting with breakfast served as it was in the old days, followed by a hike through the fields where we will learn about its cultivation cycle and the history of its ancient production. After a guided tour of the village of Rhêmes-Saint-Georges, the restaurant Le Barmé de l’Ours will offer us an innovative take on a traditional rye-based lunch. We will complete our journey with a stop in Valsavarenche at the Società Agricola Da Emy, to learn about and taste the famous Genepy, one of the region's treasures.
