DAY 1: Arrival in Viterbo and visit of the city

Arrival in Viterbo, check-in at the hotel or farmhouse.

Visit Viterbo with a walk in the historic center, exploring the Palace of the Popes, the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, the Piazza San Lorenzo and the medieval district of San Pellegrino.

Lunch in a typical Viterbo restaurant, to taste local dishes such as pasta all'amatriciana or beans of Gradoli.

Continuation of the visit to Viterbo, including the Piazza del Sacrario and Villa Lante, famous for its Italian gardens, which are only a few minutes drive from the center.

DAY 2: Bolsena and Montefiascone

Departure for Bolsena (about 30 minutes drive from Viterbo). Walk along the lakefront of Bolsena, visiting the Cathedral of Santa Maria and the Castle of Bolsena.

Then walk in the historic center, among picturesque streets and views of the lake.

Lunch in one of the typical restaurants of Bolsena, tasting lake fish such as white coregone or pike.

Departure for Montefiascone (about 20 minutes from Bolsena). Visit the Cathedral of Santa Margherita and the Fortress of the Popes, with a spectacular view over the city and the lake of Bolsena.

Visit a local winery to taste the famous wine Est! Est!! Est.

Return to Viterbo and dinner in a typical restaurant with local specialties of the Tuscia, such as pasta alla Viterbo or local cheeses.

DAY 3: Acquapendente and the festival of Pugnaloni

Departure for Acquapendente (about 40 minutes drive from Viterbo). Visit of the historic center, with the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta and Piazza G. Matteotti.

On 18 May you can enjoy the Festival of Pugnaloni, with the parade of colorful floral panels.

Typical lunch in Acquapendente, with local specialties such as the beans of Acquapendente.

Return to Viterbo for dinner.

DAY 4: Civita di Bagnoregio and relax

Departure for Civita di Bagnoregio (about 30 minutes from Viterbo). Walk in the charming village, famous for its suspension bridge and for the breathtaking view it offers.

Lunch in a restaurant or farmhouse near Civita di Bagnoregio.

Return to Viterbo in the afternoon. End your stay with a little relaxation at one of the spas in Viterbo, such as the Terme dei Papi, ideal for a wellness experience. Or with a walk in the gardens of Villa Lante.
